Back pain is not choosy. Back pain may
choose any of us at any time whether we are
stay-at-home people or out-in-the-world people, active
military people or veterans. The reputation of chiropractic for helping back pain sufferers continues to grow in the civilian and military/veteran
care systems. The more recent interest has been how
much chiropractic care is best for back pain relief.
Aaron Chiropractic Clinic keeps track of this research since
military/veteran back pain resembles our civilian
Fort Wayne back pain!
BACK PAIN INCIDENCE
80% of us will get back pain at some time
in our lives, in our youth, middle years, or old age. 264 million
work days were documented to be lost in one year due
to back pain. (1) Fort Wayne chiropractic care is created
to help all ages! Somewhere between 25 and 33% of older folks in fact
get low back pain each year. Low back pain for older adults is reported to be debilitating as it often limits their
independence and multiplies their doctor visits. A study that merged primary care
with chiropractic care for their back pain resulted in modest improvements in their disability and back pain and higher patient satisfaction and perceived
improvement over primary care alone. (2)
Aaron Chiropractic Clinic witnesses these same outcomes for our
Fort Wayne back pain patients! Older patients with chronic low back
pain along with other medical issues who used
only chiropractic spinal manipulation for their back pain had reduced
overall costs of care, shorter occurrences of back
pain, and lower costs of care per back pain episode. (3) Back
pain relief in a briefer time at less expense…a triple
bonus with Fort Wayne chiropractic care for
back pain sufferers!
BACK PAIN CARE WITH CHIROPRACTIC
Like the rest of us, military personnel and veterans
experience back pain and get relief
with chiropractic care. Chiropractic is well-integrated into
the VA system for veterans with low back pain and other musculoskeletal
conditions. A newly proposed study of chiropractic care in
Veterans Affairs healthcare facilities for low back pain seeks
to see if low dose (1 to 5 visits) or higher dose (eight to twelve visits) chiropractic care for 10 weeks is most beneficial
for chronic low back pain relief. (4) (The Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain
Management found in a study of 1000 back pain
patients that 12 visits and 29 days were the mean number of visits and days to get patients maximally improved. (5))
A similar finding was made when chiropractic care was inserted
into usual medical care for active-duty military personnel with low back pain. Moderate short-term improvement in back pain disability
and intensity was reported.
Multidisciplinary care of back pain that involves
chiropractic is suggested to be beneficial. (6) The goal
of Fort Wayne chiropractic for back pain sufferers – civilian and
military alike – is back pain relief. Aaron Chiropractic Clinic is prepared to deliver
that!
